Set of 4 taken fresh from this pair May 9 in oak 50 yards distant. A nest examined about 25 feet in locust close to this nest belongs to this pair apparently and upon examination about May 25 was found unfinished and in same state June 11. This nest was found with 3 eggs and on June 8 today eggs were cold and no birds present. Nest composed of: herewith. Small. Top rimmed with mud. Placed about 10 feet up, saddled to small horizontal limb of locust.
