Nest, made of grass, stems and stalks, weed stalks and plenty of mud, lined with grass. Compact, deeply cupped and well built. Outside width 5 inches, inside 3 1/2 inches, depth outside 4 inches, inside 3 1/2 inches. Nest was in an alder thicket, 6 ft. up in a vine-covered clump of closely growing alders, placed on an oblique branch attached securely to vines.
