Nest 6 1/2 feet up in thick clump of Arrow-wood bushes 8 feet high, between a many-forked "crotch," in a woody bushy creek bank and well hidden. Loosely made of many small pieces of white tissue paper (no exterior), vine stems, few dry tree leaves and thick layer of fine grape vine bark strips, lined densely with brown rootlets. Large and well built.
