Nest empty on obtain. Situated 5 feet up in thin clump of greenbriar vines in a thick bottom bush at bottom of a bushy bluff containing fine big trees, by an open field and partly hidden. Broadly constructed and of normal size, made of vine and grass stems, a layer of lined with dead grasses and several fine strips of grape vine bark lined thinly with reddish vine tendrils. Eggs lightly washed. About as early as I have ever taken a clutch of Cardinal.
