Nest in border of and by grass field, situated 7 feet up in tangle of dead branches depending from a wild cherry sapling amidst thick low bushes, and partly hidden. Loosely made of weed stalks, grass, twigs (many 4 to 5 inches in length) and a thin layer of grape vine bark strips, lined thinly with fine vine tendrils. Bushy near sapling and well cushioned. Most of the long grasses were on one side of nest.
