Nest empty 1 day previously. Situated up in thin clump of blackberry brambles four feet high, in bushy corner of a weedy field by edges of a creek and river both fringed with large trees and not very well concealed. Lovely made of fine twigs, one piece of weed, strip of weed, and vine tendrils and rootlets, lined with fine vine tendrils. A prettish nest, resembling a Rose-breasted Grosbeak's, with thin walls and bottom but slightly undersized.
