Nest: Built of spanish moss rather deeply cupped, and lined with coarse then finer grasses in the forks of an orange tree— 4½ feet above ground. Parent bird female flushed from nest, remained in the tree and scolded. This is a very unusually colored set of eggs for this species and was collected for me for this reason by Wray.

✦ Anecdote
This set was specifically collected because the eggs had very unusual coloration for Northern Cardinal, which the collector found remarkable enough to have someone else collect it for him.
