Nest unusually compactly made of weed stems, pieces of vines, leaves, corn shucks and weed tops; lined with fine grass. Located 6 feet up in a cluster of twigs on a large branch of a mesquite tree, which grew in an open growth of the same. Female flushed, raised quite a fuss.
