Nest built on a root with dirt adhering to it, that projected from side of a modest pond, 30 inches from the ground, 12 inches from overhanging top and 12 inches from side of the embankment. Composed mostly of grass and weed stems, grass bender, and mud, lined thickly with fine grass blades. Deeply cupped and of average size.
