Nest: composed of weed-stilfs and stems, grasses and weeds, compactly put together and lined thickly with softer grasses, deeply cupped. Placed on a six inch beam, 9 feet from ground, inside a wagon shed about 8 feet from the doorway, and within 4 inches of the ceiling. I substituted a clutch of 3 for the 5 eggs but the birds deserted them & built in a cherry tree close by where she raised 2 families.
